On 6 August the first maritime vessel berthed for testing purposes at Giurgiulesti International Free Port (Republic of Moldova) owned and operated by ICS Danube Logistics SRL. A 3,065dwt oil tanker operating under the Jamaican flag delivered more than 3,000 tons of water for testing purposes into the tanks of the oil terminal. Edgar Martin, the Director of Giurgiulesti International Free Port and General Director of Danube Logistics SRL noted: “Overall we are very satisfied with the test. The vessel was successfully moored at 11.30hrs yesterday, conducted unloading operations throughout the night and departed at 08.10hrs this morning. We now look forward to celebrate the receipt of the first delivery of oil products in the coming weeks”.
