DANUBE LOGISTICS DEVELOPED A CARBON FOOTPRINT REPORT ON GIURGIULESTI INTERNATIONAL FREE PORT

Danube Logistics has developed its first report on Carbon Footprint in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. The emission sources included in the carbon footprint report refer to generated CO2 emissions respectively to the emissions equivalent to CO2. The inventory was developed for the year 2016 at the premises of Giurgiulesti International Free Port.
In accordance with a control-based approach Danube Logistics calculated the CO2 emissions of these operational activities that actually can be influenced by the company. The calculations are based on real measurements of fuel and energy consumption ensuring a high level of accuracy of the results.
Following the findings of this report Danube Logistics strives to identify suitable measures in order to reduce carbon footprint emissions.
